Name:
Location: Santa Barbara, California, United States

I am a Landscape Architect and own my own design firm, True Nature, in Santa Barbara. I am interested in sustainability, ecological and historic restoration, water quality, water conservation, and lowering automobile dependency with green design for numerous reasons. These values enrich my design work by igniting creativity and a desire to make places that people will enjoy and want to care for. I also enjoy watercolor painting, kayaking, and hiking around beautiful Santa Barbara.

Montepulciano

We went to Montepulciano in the morning to see the Chiesa de Bagnia, an early Renaissance church. The Texas Architecture students really enjoyed this...it is the best and most perfect example of Renaissance architecture in terms of simplicity and proportion, according to one of the students. It was built separated from the town on purpose.

The view out to the countryside was spectacular (as always!). Montepulciano is known for it's wine, which is actually my favorite so far, the Montepulciano Nobile. We were originally supposed to be able to tour town and the winery, but I guess we ran out of time. I'm definitely coming back to this town someday!
