Positano
We left Herculenium in the late afternoon and headed to our new hotel in Positano, back out on the Amalfi Coast. I almost died when I saw the place, Hotel California. The town of Positano spreads up a ravine from the sea, and is comprised of densly packed buildings. Our hotel had a magnificent view. The whole front of is was a vine covered veranda. The vines were displaying stunning fall color.

You may recognize this from one of my sketches...
Positano from the veranda.
The Duomo in Positano is stunning.
The town is filled with shops...luckily everything is so expensive that you can't buy anything!
And there are excellent restaurants! We watched these chefs cook through a window, and returned the next night for a wonderful dinner...discounted because we knew the chef!
This art gallery was on a rooftop garden. The paintings were hung on frames, similar to a design we came up with for a group project in the beginning of the quarter. These oil paintings were amazing. It appears that only a pallette knife was used, giving incredible texture to the work.
New modern artpieces in the piazza.
I saw the most amazing ironwork in Positano..
